Pink Floyd Time lyrics & Song DescriptionDescription PINK FLOYD "Time" is one of the greater songs of Dark Side Of The Moon. . Nice Mason 'the drummer' is heavily involved in a a two minute drumming intro, David Gilmour plays the guitar solo and shares the vocals with Richard Wright and Roger Waters wrote the lyrics. From the initial intro with the sounding of clock chimes and ringing alarms to Nick Mason's long soothing drum intro leading to David Gilmour's voice, and eventually David Gilmour's immense guitar solo that absolutely takes you away. All this, and not to mention its great lyrical content. One of the best ever musical pieces hands down! What is Pink Floyd Time about?Pink Floyd Time is kind of self explanatory but is more associated with 'life'. It's about rapidity of life how, the realisation of how short it really is combined with being unable to plan for the next phase because it is really unknown so all you can do is make the most of your present time, grabbing control of you destiny there and then, expressed by Roger Waters. OK, Now over to....
Ticking
away the moments that make
up a dull day Tired
of lying in the sunshine
staying home to watch the
rain. So
you run and you run to catch
up with the sun but it's
sinking Every
year is getting shorter
never seem to find the time. Home,
home again I like to be
here when I can |
